Haley Cox Experience Of Keeping ChickensHello my name is Haley and most of my working life has been spent working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I have over 25 years experience specializing in Management, Animal Wellbeing and Animal Husbandry. Our family run smallholding in the South Lincolnshire Fens is where we have been breeding rare and unusual breeds of chickens and waterfowl along with some common and hybrids for some years now as a hobby. We Incubate our own eggs or pop under a broody hen or two. We are very passionate about what we do here and enjoy sharing our experience and knowledge with others. Chicken Keeping Course InformationOur workshops are friendly, relaxed and informal, so no pressure. You can learn first hand on how much fun it is to keep chickens and ducks. Whether you have a small garden or large, size doesn't matter, it all depends on how you look after your hens. This workshop gives you the opportunity to see how keeping chickens fits into family life! Whether you want to have just two hens or more, we will give you the insight and hands on experience of what is involved and the opportunity to ask your own questions. We will run small groups or individual at no extra cost, £25 for one person or £20 two or more. Our prices are low, based on per person and workshops run for two hours, sometimes longer depending on the amount of questions asked. In the workshop we will show you in depth about your subject chosen. At the end of your workshop we send you off on your new venture having a good understanding of what you want to do and which way to go next. You go home with a Happy HenZ Hen School Certificate of Achievement for completing the Happy Henz Animal Husbandry Course. Our printed booklet which runs you though all the things we covered in our course and much more so your mind is refreshed every time you read it. You have the opportunity to purchase chickens from us with workshop discount offer and feed, bedding, water and feed bowls available. Sometimes housing when in stock. We also offer our starter package for £165 which includes trio of hens, feed, bedding, bowls and moveable house with run. Please note this package has to be pre-ordered with a deposit.
